Individual counselling sessions

Each individual counselling session is provided on a face-to-face basis with your therapist with each session lasting for approximately 45 minutes. The environment is caring, supportive and conducted in a non-judgmental manner with your privacy and confidentiality protected at all times.

The approach is to assist you in resolving your emotional concerns, difficulties and problems that affect you and your relationships with others. , The aim of each sessions is to provide a trusting and empathic interaction between you and your therapist, encouraged to first you to recognize and understand, then reduce and change the emotional blocks and debilitating thought processes that impact on your life. The process moves towards restoring a sense of wellbeing and natural balance in people’s lives.

Individual counseling sessions are usually provided on a weekly basis over a period of 10 weeks. Each session seek to identify the difficulty, develop some insight, then learn and understanding what you need to do to better dealing with and correct the problem.  

The basis of the sessions is to address psychological problems and health-related behavior, as well as interpersonal problems experienced by the individual. It is cognitive-behavioral approach, with solution-focused outcomes in mind.  

The strategies and techniques aim to bring about real and lasting change, providing by suggest ways to correct your lifestyle as well as implementing better coping strategies to sustain change. Our Counseling methods are focused on treating the underlying issues that have been unresolved and which have been the cause of the individual’s problems and difficulties. It will also seek to address the negative behavior, thoughts and feelings which have been learnt and acquired by the individual.
